UFO sightings are commonly associated with the so-called "flying saucer" or "flying disc." Many UFO believers claim to have sighted flying saucers or discs while they were taking a break from observing the stars. In fact, some of these alleged sighting were actually the product of well hoaxed scientific experiment. The flying saucer idea is closely associated with UFOS ( UFO sightings reports) and stories of flying saucers have been circulating for decades. Some people say that the "flying disc" idea came from a story by Rev. Dr. George Adamsky (who claimed to have received his PhD from Cambridge University in 1947), while others say it came out of a military experiment during World War II.

Although there are some people who support the idea that these flying objects could be real, there are also those who believe that the sightings are nothing but Hysters (jet aircraft). Hysters are circular shaped objects that have been manufactured by Hysteraceae, a plant category that includes such plants as cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and onion, among others. The circular shapes of these "rafts" have been compared to what the ancients looked like, which is said to resemble flying saucers. There are also theories that the Hysters are the result of wind-borne pollen and that we see them because of the effect that gravity has on spores. Since the spores are extremely small, they get "retained" in the gravitational pull of the earth, which in turn, causes them to stay within the Earth's atmosphere. This theory is being vigorously studied by scientists.
